Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette isn’t happy that his goal against Manchester United has been chalked off and awarded as a Marcos Rojo own goal.

The Frenchman started the match on the bench once again, but replaced Alex Iwobi in the 65th minute with the scores tied and made an immediate impact as Arsenal re-took the lead just three minutes later.

Lacazette robbed Rojo and played the ball to Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who returned the favour to put the striker clean through on goal.

But Rojo recovered well and made a last-ditch tackle, though was unfortunate to see the ball bounce back of Lacazette and trickle past David de Gea into the bottom corner.

Lacazette took a knock in the challenge, but claimed the goal – though a Premier League review panel later decided that Rojo had actually got the last touch.

‘Rojo gets in the way of the ball after a Lacazette touch, and his foot is kicked by Lacazette, taking the ball into the net,’ was the official explanation given.

Lacazette, though, does not agree, and tweeted in reply to the Premier League’s official account shortly after 1am, saying: ‘Really bro?’ alongside a thinking face emoji.

The decision means Lacazette’s Premier League goal tally for the season remains at six, four behind division top scorer – and teammate – Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

To make matters worse, Lacazette’s joy lasted just a matter of seconds at Old Trafford, with United scoring virtually straight from kick-off as the spoils were shared in a 2-2 draw.
